What will happen if I drill some nails into the wood plank the curtain rail is attached to?
The reason I ask is the said plank looks as if it is simply glued onto the wall. Will the metal screw
s I hope to put in counterract the effect of the glue and bring the whole thing tumbling down?
The new curtains I have to drape are heavier than the old one”s so I”m worried about the effects of the added weight.

How does one lubricate a curtain rail while the curtains are still on and not damage the curtains?
The curtain’s in my bedroom do not close very efficiently. When I try to draw them, they get jammed and it is hard to make them run across the rail.
It is just a standard, thin, plastic rail.
What can I do to lubricate the rail?

It has randomly dropped and fallen into the bath tub many times. Since then, I’ve been wondering if there was a strong adhesive that didn’t react to water/humidity that could make it stick onto the wall permanently. Thanks.
Why is my curtain rail dripping water?
In December I put up my new curtain rail drilling hard into my concrete lintel. Happy all this time – suddenly yesterday out of the blue, 4 months later the central screw hole is dripping water. Is it a condensation thing? There can’t possibly be a pipe there as the house was build before central heating and any case that would be under the floor. Can anyone help me, its dripping quite a bit?
Ok thankyou – on investigation it apears that the radiator upstairs is leaking. Now i have to work out how to stop that, it’s the pipe running up and into – the side with the thermo on. Help on that?
